Episode 21: Sister

In this special bonus episode I sit down with my sister to find out what she thought of video games growing up. We end up talking very little about them and instead talk mostly about random childhood memories including the right and wrong way to play with Barbies, wrestling, butter spray fights, alternates personas, and more! We review Super Mario Kart for the SNES.

Sorry for the short hiatus! We are back this week with Portland comedian and a man who’s name begins and ends with an X, Xander Deveaux! We talk Bayou Billy, Jeopardy, montages, a game we he can’t remember the name of and I don’t know what he’s talking about based on his description which turns out to be called MagMax, silly names, Turok, and more! We review Seasame Street 123 for the NES and Sunset Riders for the SNES.

This is a very special episode! I am joined by none other than my lovely and wonderful mother Jody Herring! We talk about my life growing up in video games through her perspective. Also you can hear my dog whining in the background the whole time. So you know if you are into that sort of thing this is the episode for you.

This time I am joined by the infamous Jimmy Newstetter host of “The Legendary” Suki’s open mic! We talk Star Wars, Ground Kontrol, the perils of being a henchmen, Rygar, and more! We review Goldeneye for the N64 and Chuck Rock for the SNES.

This time I am joined by the fantastic Jon Washington of Jon Reads The Paper! We talk Goldeneye vs. Turok control types, conspiracy theories, imagination in gaming, and more. We review Metal Gear for the NES and Super Mario RPG for the SNES.

This time I am joined by the insanely awesome Shane Torres! We talk portland comedy shows, The Console Wars, I get the date of the NES release wrong (I say Nov. 1985 when its really Oct.1985), blast processing, trading systems, online gaming, sports games and more. We review Clayfighter for the SNES and Left 4 Dead for the Xbox 360 (I say that Left 4 Dead was made on the Halo 2 engine which is a mistake. It was made on the Half Life 2 engine).
